If you are not alert, you might pass right by one of these beautiful forest birds and never know it. Despite their brilliant colors, trogons blend in surprisingly well. They are silent hunters who sit motionless for many minutes until they see the right insect. Then they burst from their branch, capture the insect and then silently glide back to wait quietly for the next meal.
