Found in the wild only in a few places in New Caledonia, the Crested Gecko was thought to be extinct until they were rediscovered in 1994. This gecko lives in the treetops and is active at night feeding on plants and small animals. They can grow up to 15 inches in length and a well cared for crested gecko can live 15 years in captivity.
