This adorable baby bunny is an Eastern cottontail. These rabbits usually have three to four litters with 5 babies each in a year, but can have up to seven! The mother cottontail nurses the bunnies once or twice a day until the newborns leave the nest within twenty-two days. Once this bunny grows up she will be able to run up to 18 MPH in short bursts to get away from an attacker. She will feed at night on the edges of fields and meadows, where there is cover nearby
