Canyon Wren

Tucked into the cliffs of canyons, protected from most human access, the Canyon Wren is a peaceful bird that is found from British Columbia to Mexico. With a gorgeous and powerful song of liquid notes, they often betray their whereabouts. Their long, thin bill makes it easy for this wren to prey on insects and spiders found on the cliffs. These monogamous birds pair through the season and split the everyday duties of building a nest and foraging for food.
