With striking colors flower beetles are some of the most beautiful of all the beetles, and they are among the largest. Adults are attracted to nectars and sweetness but the larva can often be found in decomposing leaves. Most flower beetles have a beautiful sheen which is caused by small hairs which form a mat which gives a texture to their color. This particular species can be found in Eastern Africa.
