Coyote Howl

This wild member of the dog family has adapted to human populations. They are found in many parts of the US far beyond their original area in the southwest. While they are secretive, in populated areas, coyotes are becoming more common. As they become accustomed to people, they are becoming more bold in their search for food and this sometimes causes clashes with humans. If you live in an area frequented by coyotes, do not let your dog or cat out unsupervised as coyotes, always on the prowl, may find your pet an easy meal. This chilling howl is used to communicate location and keep competitor coyotes away.
