Tsavo Elephant was just two years old when he was found wandering alone near Mombassa-Nairobi Road in Kenya. He is one of many orphaned elephants that are cared for by keepers of the Kenya Wildlife Service and when old enough they are returned to the wild. Without programs such as this, these baby elephants who have lost their mothers due to poaching, would have died from starvation, predators and the elements.
