Ring-tailed Lemurs
Lemur catta

A native of Madagascar, the name lemur means "ghost" in Malagasy. Most lemurs live in trees, but this species also likes the ground and groups of them can be found racing along the ground, tails straight up in the air, to signal their pals to follow. This species is threatened as its forest habitat is rapidly disappearing.
