Red-backed Poison Frog
Dendrobates reticulatus

The red on the back of this poison frog is a stop sign for predators telling them "don't eat me!" Those who ignore the warning pay the price of either getting very sick or even death. In the wild, these frogs are found in the jungles of the Amazon basin in South America.
